Math Tutoring Experience:
I am lucky enough to have two parents in the teaching profession and was taught to pursue education and esteem knowledge.
My goal is to help students comprehend mathematics by presenting reasoning, methods and analysis.
I tutored Introduction to Calculus, Calculus 1 and 2 at SDSU and tutored high school students in Algebra and Finite Math.
I am CBEST certified and volunteer at Wolf Canyon Elementary where I assist students in reading, writing and mathematics.
Academic Background:
I have recently received my BA in Mathematics from SDSU and am working to complete my teaching credentials.
I was exposed to mathematics at an early age but truly began to love it during high school when I took a Discrete Math class.
I saw the beauty in truth tables and basic mathematical logic and knew I would pursue mathematics in college.
I began at South Western College where I took Trigonometry and Statistics classes and then transferred to SDSU. I excelled in mathematics and earned
only ‘A’s and ‘B’s in every branch.
I was asked by my Calculus professor to tutor for the math office, and started to develop an interest in revealing to others the beauty and application of mathematics.
I recognize mathematical concepts and logic in all aspects of life, and believe that an appreciation of mathematics is the first step to succeeding in it.
